Cotton

Particularly resistant to any kind of washing, but not at very high temperatures. If indicated, use of bleach is allowed. For colored cotton clothes, using bleach is safe. Cotton fabric is quite inelastic, they easily crinkle and they need frequent ironing.

Cotton fabric also need high temperature and longer time for drying. Finally, cotton fabric doesn’t burn easily and can be ironed with hot iron.

Wool

Wool fabric can be washed at low temperature (in the laundry only when there is a special program for wool). Recommended dry cleaning to avoid ‘distortion’ of the garment. The use of chlorine is not allowed. Always use steam when ironing wool in the temperature for wool fabric. Wool does not need to be completely dried during ironing. If possible, iron on the reverse of the fabric. If you need to iron the garment on the top side, use a cotton fabric so not the garment shines. While ironing, lift and lower the iron on the garment, instead of moving forward and back. You can avoid capture details of the interior of the fabric, placing a piece of brown paper or a tissue under the aspects, seams or pliers. Wear your woolen clothes with breaks of 24 hours. Hang in preformed and padded hangers, leaving space between the clothes. Usually, woolen lose creases and return to their original shape. You should fold knitted clothes. If the wool gets wet, dry the garment at room temperature away from heat. Immediately remove marks and stains.

Polyester

Polyester clothes are sensitive to high temperature. Wash with warm water and iron them at low temperature. Most polyester clothes are machine washable and can be dried. Use warm water and add a fabric softener to the final rinse. Dry at low temperatures and remove the clothes from the dryer just finished the cycle of drying.

Silk

Only pre-washed silk garments can be washed, so it is important to check the label! Generally, dry cleaning is preferred because detergents and dyes from other clothes may adversely affect silk fabric. For washable silk fabric, carefully follow the care instructions. The clothes that have no line or decorations can be washed by hand with soft soap and warm water. Never use chlorine in silk. To save the silk for a long time, protect from light, air and insects.

Acrylic

For acrylic clothes washing or dry cleaning is allowed. When you wash in the washing machine, use warm water and add a fabric softener to the final rinse cycle. Dry at low temperature. Remove clothes from the dryer immediately after finishing. Wash sensitive clothes by hand in warm water. Static electricity can be reduced if you use a conditioner every three or four washes. Gently drain the water, smooth or shake clothes and dry them on a hanger. The sweater should be dried horizontally. If ironing is needed, use warm iron.

Linen

Some linen fabrics can be washed while others only require dry-cleaning, so please carefully check the label. The washable linen fabrics, such as scarves and linen clothes, they can be easily washed and softened with frequent use. The white linen should be dried in the sun if possible, so to maintain their whiteness. Generally, dry cleaning is recommended for linen curtains, linen slipcover and linen decoration. The linens need frequent ironing, unless they have been treated against wrinkling. The above can be applied only if the fabric contains 100% the stated construction material.
